NAMIBIA- BEES IN DANGER

Wednesday, 14 April 2010 13:29 Written by Analia Manriquez

The African honeybee is in grave danger and if people do not stop poisoning and killing bees, Namibia might face a huge problem by 2030.

This is according to Roland zu Bentheim, a beekeeper who has noticed a definite decline in bee populations throughout Namibia.

"I have even received phone calls from farmers from Tsumeb and Otavi requesting me to sell them beehives as they have also noticed a decline in the bee population in that part of the country" he says.
