The training was made possible by an agreement between the Colombia National University  and the Association of Beekeepers Comunera, Asoapicom. They  focused on good management practices to improve the quality of honey, while the implementation of quality labels. Orlando Acosta Galvis, of Asoapicom auditor reported that "it also worked on the issue of certificates of the apiaries of the producers, which are required to generate high quality products and for the next year working on another project on technical assistance , which will focus on about 30 beekeepers.
