A Swaziland Honey Council will be registered in the country in October. Ministry of Agriculture Beekeeping Specialist Manqoba Nkambule said the council would help address the concerns of honey producers in Swaziland, monitor the industry and act as an advisor to beekeepers. He said the honey industry was also a contributor to the country’s economy as a number of people in the rural areas were making their livelihood from it, adding that there were about 1,176 beekeepers in Swaziland.
