Congressman Jesus Rodrigues (PT) argues that the government must pay  special attention to the difficulties faced by beekeeping before the drought. The region has about 400 families of beekeepers who, under a cooperative in 2011 produced nearly 2000 tons of honey and, in 2012, even with the loss of 80% of production because of drought, marketed 250 tons of honey, according to data from CAMPIL (Beekeeping Cooperative Micro  Region of Picos).

ESTONIA- 2012 BEEKEEPING FIGURES

Local  beekeepers produced 1,000 tons of honey last year and sold three quarters of it directly to consumers, Äripäev Online reports. According to the Estonian Market Research Institute (EMRI) study "Structure of the Estonian beekeeping sector", 748 tons of the honey production was sold. Estonia's honey production varies a lot year after year - in 2000, it was 334 tons, in 2008, 501 tons The average honey production per hive has grown from 14 kg in 2000 to 27 kg last year. According to the Public Broadcasting, 5,934 agricultural units and households were engaged in producing honey last year, of which 17 were professional beekeeping farms with over 150 hives and over 5,200 were hobby beekeepers.

Veracruz has increased 80% its honey production so far this year, Mayolo Martínez Jiménez, state coordinator of the National Program for the Control of African Bee (PNCAA). Honey production in the Mantaro Valley, decreased by 50% due to poor flowering flora honey (eucalyptus, acacia and molle) by bad weather. USA- BEEHIVES' LOSSES IN VIRGINIA ARE 30%

According to Virginia Tech Entomologist Richard Fell, the average annual winter loss from 2001 through 2012 has been more than 30 percent in the state. Virus, mites and certain pesticides could be to blame for the drastically dropping bee population.
