Beekeeping is one of the socio-economic activities, which are friendly to the environment and forests in general. During a recent Training of Trainers (ToT) session on REDD and Climate Change in Dodoma, beekeeping was mentioned as one of the key incentives for forest conservation. The training which was conducted by the Forest and Beekeeping Division attracted about 50 foresters from some of the selected regions and districts in the country.

BRAZIL- HONEY PRODUCTION PROJECT IN PUAI

Twenty-nine families of small farmers are benefiting from honey production through Project Good Hope, technology transfer, in the municipalities of Guadalupe and Uruçuí, Piauí, and St. Joâo dos Patos in Maranhao. BRAZIL- HONEY FOR CATACLYSM SCENARIO

The stock of honey is perfect for a cataclysmic scenario that may occur by the end of the year. Well, I will not validate or dismissing the prediction of the Maya in the matter. For now, I will focus on sweet food and its benefits. As I was saying, honey lasts forever if you keep it right. No need to worry about the validity of livelihood. Recently, edible honey was found in a pharaoh's tomb in Egypt. I do not know if I would eat a food that was next to a corpse for thousands of years, but the children still had found its characteristic sweet and healthy.

BRAZIL- DEAD OF BEES IN SÂO PAULO

The death of thousands of bees beekeepers worried the city of Gavião Peixoto, Sao Paulo. Whole hives were decimated. The bees will be reviewed by the State University of São Paulo, Jaboticabal, to know what caused the deaths. The deads occurred in hives that are in regions close to the city.
