The government has reduced the agricultural modules IRPR 2012 for farmers and ranchers who have suffered damage to their farms in exceptional circumstances, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment. The rain of recent days has changed the landscape of the savanna in Pernambuco. The trees flourished and bees came back to work. The landscape turned to green in some areas. The vegetation sprouted and even flowers that have long not seen, appeared. All this was good for beekeepers in the region, which had registered significant declines in honey production because of drought and lack of flowers. Now, back to the bees collect nectar and slowly the hive supers are getting filled again.

Ten years ago, when the economic crisis hit the country very strong, 4500 beekeepers excessive lived a bonanza for many, and graceful for them. Produced, exported in dollars  and charged in pesos. The money they gave up production enough to form a powerful agricultural subgroup number, currencies and markets. But gradually began to decline. The profitability stopped being such fields began to be used in other areas, markets varied demands and preferences, and so declined exponentially the number of producers.

The State Government, through the Department of Economic and Technological Development (Sedet), delivered, on Wednesday (17), 658 beehives  and 29  smokers to 38 members of the Beekeepers Association of Campo Maior (Apicam), which is part of program of Local Productive Arrangements (APLs). With funding from BNDES and contrast of the State Government and Apicam invested R $ 108,864.00 i( US$ 54,000) n the acquisition of equipment.

CHINA- BEEKEEPING IN BEIJING AREA

Gross value of the industry in the Chinese capital was 190 million yuan ($31 million) in 2012, with annual honey production of 7.5 million kg, 130,000 kg of royal jelly and 49,000 kg of bee pollen, according to Beijing Apiculture Co, which integrates beekeeping, healthcare research and exports in the city. Beijing has 79 professional bee cooperative societies and 56 apiculture industrial bases, which have greatly boosted development of the industry.
